Who are we?
EKINNOX is a Startup created in 2017 whose mission is to democratize human motion analysis by developing simple, reliable and accessible solutions. Based on a project started in 2015 at Inria research institute (Sophia Antipolis), it is today managed by two associates, Baptiste FOSTY and Nicolas MAIRE. The company now has 6 employees and will continue to grow in 2023.
The origin of the project
The project is based on a motion analysis system developed over 5 years in the STARS research team at Inria Sophia Antipolis, in particular by Baptiste FOSTY, co-founder and CEO of EKINNOX. This system, initially applied to the evaluation of people suffering from neurodegenerative diseases, is based on state-of-the-art technologies in the field of computer vision.
Our solution
KinTracK, EKINNOX’s first product, is a medical device for visual and quantified gait analysis for caregivers in rehabilitation facilities. In the form of a trolley consisting of a computer and a camera, our solution measures the main spatiotemporal walking parameters and provides a powerful visual analysis platform thanks to 2D and 3D videos.

Baptiste Fosty

Bio :
After technical studies and first experience as a researcher in digital sciences, Baptiste started this startup project in 2015. He trained and surrounded himself with experts, by taking the HEC Challenge Plus training and joining the “Centre des Jeunes Dirigeants de Nice”. Always looking for new activities and discoveries, he is passionately involved in everything he undertakes. In sport, for example, he reached a good regional/national level of table tennis (18 years of practice), and to pass the diplomas of coach and referee. He also passed certificate of parachuting. His professional ambition, willingness to learn and ability to surround himself are important assets in the success of this company.
Nicolas Maire

Bio :
After a business school, Nicolas worked during 5 years as a Sales Manager in big consulting companies. It helped to develop strong listening and perseverance skills. Semi-professional football player during 15 years, he also leaded a startup project of move analysis sytems in Football. He met EKINNOX in April 2017 In this context . He joined the company in April 2018 as a Sales Manager, and as a partner in September 2018. Her interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and tenacity are essential to the development of the company.

Engineer and Doctor of Physics, Colette has spent her entire professional career in the
development of medical devices. Research engineer, project manager, product manager,
she worked for several medical device companies and contributed to the
success of innovative products, surgical systems or diagnostic software.
Experienced and delighted to promote them within a start-up, she joined EKINNOX in 2019 as
product manager. She is also responsible for quality and regulatory affairs, and has
allowed EKINNOX to obtain ISO13485 certification in 2019 and CE marking according to the
2017/745 regulations in 2021.
